My first project for my junior year is on my family and the family values we hold so dearly. The project will explain information about my family values and how it shapes my identity as a person in the United States.
English
I started my language arts project about thinking of what to contextualize about my family and what my product would be. I got assistance from my teacher to contextualize a book and two songs I wrote. The book I read for my project was, "Native Son," by Richard Wright. The book was about a youthful black African man named Bigger, growing up with his mother, brother, and sister in a profound poverty level neighborhood. He is trying to figure out his life in the world that hates him. He aspires to do something significant in the world that can accommodate his judgment on this world. He doesn't want to be the stereotypic black man who is inspected as a black beast, that no race besides black or minorities wants to see. He's looking for a job, to provide for his siblings to go to school, and enable his mother to feel whole. I wrote a song regarding my family values and another song that correlates my family values and the book. The central point I was contextualizing was how the characters could link to my song, and if the song would encounter different people's hearts.
I was having difficulties with the book at the beginning because I stayed so diligent with football, and I got bewildered with my organizations. Afterward, I obtained the freedom to read the text and compose my songs based on the book. I thought the book was excellent, and it kept me on my toes for the most maximum part.
The volume "Native Son" was the perfect foundation of the project. It helped me format my song and how it could associate to additional young adults in the world who feel like others can't do anything. The song and the book connect to me and my mother's relationship, and I presume this book existed for me.

Social Studies
For the social studies part of my project, I researched African American Values. A lot of the African American values that I researched connect to a lot of my family values. I made a series of 32 questions about my parents family values, their morals, and about their relationship with God involving family. I asked my dad, mother, stepmom, grandfather, and grandmothers the questions since they were closet to me. There answers to my questions were all very similar, similar to my answers since I answered the questions. Once I answered the questions, I formulated a summary of outstanding questions and surrounding the psychology book I read to assist my interrogations. It was a Myer's Psychology AP class book that taught me the psychology of my family. The research from my family in this book helped me create my summary and finalize it.
This portion of the project was challenging because it was hard-hitting contextualization correctly. Contextualization is to state the social, grammatical, or another context of; put into context. I eventually used contextualization once I read the psychology to back up my questions to form my summary. For example, the book talks about the psychology of a person's personality. Since I was exploring my identity, I read this and other topics of the book to connect with my summary.

I sang a black gospel song with my mother and my little sister called, Awesome by Charles Jenkins. There was a generous amount of songs my family suggested for me to sing, but I felt as if the song, Awesome by Charles Jenkins was perfect for me. I used the Software GarageBand to record the song and to breakdown the three choral voice parts of my music number. In addition, My marvelous family is full of singers, rappers, and gospel singers. We could harmonize to any song, and sound collected while singing it. I contextualized the song by making the song in three distinct ways. There were parts where I would sing by myself or with my mother and sister. My sister and mother would do the same thing with solos and duets.
Who sang Soprano?
My little sister caroled soprano for the music number. She’s a 7th grader at the middle school and sings on the adolescence praise team at church. My sister naturally has a withdrawn, airy voice. She’s working on her confidence level and working on getting the air from stretching out of her mouth.
Who sang Alto?
My mother sang alto for the music number. When she was blossoming, she handled to sing soprano and would receive a quite significant quantity of leads in church. Now considering she manages with an assemblage of children, her voice isn’t as high as it utilized to be, now she sings alto. My mom is a naturally turbulent singer who sings with passion and sentiment.
Who sang Tenor? I sang tenor for the number that my family was singing. For the most part, I’m a tenor one in the chorus and a tenor/alto at church on the youth praise team. I’ve been the chorus representative for the past four years, and I plan on becoming a representative for the 5th year straight. I’m a naturally boisterous singer, and I get the astonishing talent from my mom and dad. My voice is powerful and can maintain a whole music section by itself, that’s at least what my friends tell me in chorus.

After I sang my song, I did research and notes of the images of The Kitchen Table by Carrie Mae Weems. The Kitchen Table images were to advise me to understand the meaning of imagery and identity of the photographs for my project. I wrote my opinions about what I observed within the images regarding the setting, the people, and the items.
CONTEXTUALIZATION
Contextualization, which is to put (a linguistic element, an action, etc.) in a context. Especially one that is characteristic or appropriate, as for purposes of the study was the thinking for the first Apollo project. I decided to do this project because I wanted to comprehend more concerning my family values, how it influences our family presently, and how it will transform the forthcoming generations of our family. One of my favorite sections about this project was engaging in a conversation with my family. Another component of the project I enjoyed was singing with my mother and sister because we were singing and recording a black gospel song collectively. I hope to establish transcendent family values in my family so that more generations of children can be very successful too for their families. I believe if more adults prepared their children accommodating family values that would lead to prosperity, there would be scarcer wickedness in the world. I trust you enjoyed this information and my contextualization regarding important family values that I embrace. Family is the most reliable support system a person could have.
